Angels Collaborations

Working with Others to Improve Foster Care
While Angels is unique in specifically addressing the attachment and bonding
needs of foster infants and toddlers, we collaborate with organizations
and individuals who have related interests.
Angels is currently working with the following partners:
Nancy Haller, Ph.D., with Applied Psychometrics in San Diego,
CA, evaluates prospective parents with the MMPI-2 screening tool and prepares
in-depth assessments of all applicants. Also compares Angels MMPI scores
with that of proven foster families to establish a psychological profile
for a healthy foster family.
Santa Barbara County Child Welfare Services recognizes Angels
as a “non-treatment” Foster Agency and provides referrals of dependent
children under the age of 3 in need of foster families under the terms
of an annually renewed contract. County social workers oversee cases and
make court recommendations on whether to return children to their families
or place them for adoption. The assigned Angels social worker works closely
with the assigned county worker to ensure the best interests of the child
are always met. County social workers collaborate with Angels in child
placements, reunification, termination of parental rights, and adoption
referrals. The county also provides all Angels parents with a $415 per
month food and clothing stipend.
Please contact us if you see an opportunity
for collaboration.
